In case you haven’t been following hockey very closely lately, that Alex Ovechkin guy is still pretty good.
OV scored his 32nd goal of the year against the Sharks on Tuesday night, and the tally was one of the prettiest ones he has put on the scoresheet this season. Ovechkin launched a one-timer from a sharp angle and managed to sneak it top shelf past Antti Niemi in the second period, a brilliant display of pinpoint accuracy from the league’s leading goal scorer.
Unfortunately for Ovechkin, the goal was his team’s only score of the night and the Caps fell to San Jose 2-1.
