Saturday night the Portland Winterhawks minor league hockey team held their annual Teddy Bear Toss night. Fans bring stuffed animals to the game and when the home team scores their first goal they toss them on the ice. The animals are collected and donated to local children’s hospitals and charities.
The team failed to beat their 2012 total of 22,000 bears or break the world record of 26,000 set in Calgary, but the visual is still pretty awesome. AC/DC’s TNT in the background somehow just works.
Enjoy the bear barrage.
