First featured several years ago during the Pete Carroll era as a spectator, 16-year-old Trojan fan Jake Olson exists as a true inspiration to others, as he refuses to let his state of blindness intrude upon his dreams of playing football. Today, Jake now boasts a more serious role as the long snapper for the Orange Lutheran High School football team. Truly this kid is a legend. Go Jake Go!

Jake Olson, who attends Orange Lutheran High School (Calif.), lost his left eye to cancer when he was just 10 months old. Although he fought for 11 years to keep the rest of his vision, he lost his right eye as well, four years ago. A diehard USC fan with a dream of playing the sport he loves, former Trojans coach Pete Carroll brought Olson in to watch practice and a game, which is what he wanted to do before he lost his sight for good.
