Mark Zuckerberg originally announced the purchase of FB.com during a press conference last November but did not disclose the purchase price. During today’s annual meeting of the Annual Farm Bureau, those who previously owned FB.com, it was announced that the Bureau earned $8.5 Million from the sale of a few domains. Facebook acquired the domain and potentially others from the Farm Bureau as well. Facebook plans to use FB.com internally by its employees. Cosby Sweaters has learned that the Bureau will use the proceeds to expand their farming operations in Farmville.
