Chris Webber averaged 20.7 points, 9.8 total rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.7 offensive rebounds throughout his NBA career, so he is clearly the expert on being an elite big man. Chris took to Twitter following Pau Gasol’s 10 point and 8 rebound performance in Dallas on Tuesday night and hit him with a little Bayless logic.
For the record: Pau Gasol has averaged 18.4 points, 9.2 total rebounds, 3.3 assists, and (wait for it) 2.7 offensive rebounds throughout his non-elite career. Gasol has also started the season averaging 15.8 points & 11.0 rebounds through the first four games of the season.
You can argue apples to oranges when it comes to comparing the two players’ careers or say that C-Webb was just using one game as an example, but you can also clearly log this in the troll category by the time-out king. Skip would be proud.
No he's not a elite player- elite players get- Buckets-assist -rebounds 10 pts- 8 Rebs- no offensive boards- you are not a elite big man!
