Deion Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have had a pretty horrible offseason, losing 14 players to the transfer portal this offseason already, including five-star corner Cormani McClain. But Sanders still sounds quite optimistic despite the brutal turn of events.
During a recent press conference, Deion Sanders insisted that the Colorado Buffaloes are “all right” and despite the eye-popping number of transfers, staying that people were “making a big deal about nothing.”
“We’re good. I trust the recruiting team. I trust our coaches, and please have some faith in me,” Sanders said on Thursday according to Fox News. “We good. We all right. We all right.
“I think we got some [starting-caliber players] coming in from visits pretty soon, maybe even this weekend, but we can attract those type of players. I don’t think we’re losing those type of players, and if we do, we’re good. We’re good. We’re making a big deal out of nothing.”
The Buffaloes finished the 2023 college football season with a 4-8 record under Sanders in his first year after they won just one of their final nine games of the season. The Buffaloes will obviously be looking to have a stronger season this year, but they’ll clearly need to replace some players.
