The Denver Broncos are in need of a quarterback after parting ways with previous starter Russell Wilson this offseason. And it sounds like the Broncos could be willing to make a pretty seismic move in the upcoming NFL Draft if there’s a quarterback they like.

During a press conference this week, Denver Broncos general manager George Paton made it clear that the team was prepared to do “whatever it takes” to get the quarterback they want if there was a quarterback in the draft that the team felt very strongly about.

“I would just say if it’s a player that you think can change the landscape of your organization moving forward, like quarterback, then you do whatever it takes to get him,” Paton told reporters according to Pro Football. “If there’s consensus in the building, a love in the building, you’re aggressive and you try to get him. It doesn’t mean you’re going to get him, but you try. So we’re open to everything. We’re wide open.”

Obviously, this is pretty insane news as it could drastically shake up the draft if they are indeed willing to trade up, and the NFL world had a lot to say about it on social media.

We’ll have to see whether or not this happens.
