Caitlin Clark is one of the biggest sports superstars on the planet right now. So understandably, it sounds like she’s going to get her own signature sneaker from Nike.

According to a report from Shams Charania, Mike Vorkunov and Ben Pickman of The Athletic, Caitlin Clark is expected to have a signature sneaker in partnership with Nike after recently becoming the top overall pick in the WNBA Draft by the Indiana Fever.

“Clark is expected to receive a signature Nike shoe as well, those sources said. Under Armour and Adidas also made sizable offers to Clark, two industry sources said,” The Athletic reported on Wednesday night.

“Clark’s previous deal with Nike ended after the conclusion of the recently finished college basketball season, which allowed her to hit the market at the peak of her popularity. Clark was a supernova at the University of Iowa, breaking records and bringing new fans to college basketball. The women’s NCAA Tournament set viewership records with every game in which Iowa played, culminating in 18.9 million viewers for the Hawkeyes’ national title game loss to South Carolina.”

Obviously, this is a significant piece of news for both Clark and Nike, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media as a result.

We’ll have to see what Clark’s signature shoe looks like.
