This week, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce took some criticism on social media for a video shared online that showed the star tight end chugging a beer and spiking it like a football after receiving his diploma from the University of Cincinnati at what appeared to be a graduation ceremony. But his brother Jason Kelce came to his defense and explained the situation a little more.

Following the viral video, a fan messaged Jason Kelce telling him to “please question your bother for the graduation antics.”

“please question your brother for the graduation antics? Doing what you did at a playoff game in buffalo is one thing but doing that at the college where he got kicked off the team for acting like a [idiot] prob wasnt best idea,” the fan said said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

But instead of questioning his brother, Jason Kelce instead defended his brother and explained the whole situation a little bit better.

“I know it looks like a graduation from the video, but this was actually at the end of a New Heights Live podcast that we put on to raise money for the University’s NIL. The university did this to poke fun at my brother and I for never really picking up our diplomas,” Jason Kelce said in defense of his brother.

That certainly cleared things up.
