Over the past few years, the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs have had some several iconic and high-profile matchups with Joe Burrow and the Bengals getting the better of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs a number of times. And Burrow seems to think the Bengals are simply built to do that.

During a recent appearance on the New Heights podcast with Travis and Jason Kelce, Joe Burrow discussed the budding rivalry between the Chiefs and the Bengals as he called out the Chiefs a little bit, saying that he thinks the Bengals are “built to beat” the Chiefs.

“I don’t know. I think we both work really hard. They have great players, we have great players,” Burrow said according to the Cincinnati Bengals team website. “I think we match up pretty well with them. I think we’re built to beat them. I always appreciate the legendary battles we have. Guys are out there always making plays. Patrick is always out there making plays. Both teams have big-time defensive lines. It’s a great matchup.”

Despite this claim, the Bengals have lost the past two games against the Chiefs, falling in the AFC Championship Game following the 2022 season and falling in the regular season in 2023, though Burrow was injured for last year’s game.
