The Minnesota Vikings are in need at the quarterback position after longtime starter Kirk Cousins left the team this offseason to sign with the Atlanta Falcons. The team brought in veteran quarterback Sam Darnold, but that does not appear to be stopping them from considering other options at the quarterback position.

According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Minnesota Vikings have scheduled a private workout with reigning Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels ahead of the NFL Draft.

According to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Minnesota Vikings have decided to meet with LSU Tigers star quarterback Jayden Daniels ahead of the upcoming NFL Draft.

“More on Jayden Daniels, as the intrigue picks up: The #Vikings have now scheduled a private meeting with the LSU star and Heisman Trophy winner, per @Agentbutler1,” Rapoport said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This move from the Vikings obviously led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The Vikings currently hold the No. 11 and No. 23 picks in the first round of the NFL Draft. Given that Daniels is expected to be among the top four picks in the draft, this would likely mean that the Vikings are considering trading up for a quarterback.

We’ll have to see whether or not they ultimately do that.
