The New York Giants signed starting quarterback Daniel Jones to a contract extension before the start of the 2023 NFL season and have publicly declared that he will be the team’s starting quarterback for the 2024 NFL season, but that does not seem to be stopping the Giants from considering drafting a quarterback in the first round.

According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the New York Giants are bringing in LSU Tigers star quarterback Jayden Daniels for a visit as they prepare and make their decisions for the upcoming NFL Draft.

“#LSU QB and Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels is set to meet with the #Giants on Monday for a Top 30 visit, per @Agentbutler1. NYG continues to do the homework on the top QBs,” Rapoport said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Obviously, this led to a lot of reactions on social media.

The New York Giants currently hold the No. 6 overall pick in the NFL Draft which probably is too far back for them to reasonably expect to select Daniels, so if they are going to select him they would likely have to trade up.

We’ll have to see whether or not it happens.
