Tiger Woods USA TODAY

As Tiger Woods prepares to play in the Masters this week, marking his first competitive golf since withdrawing from the Genesis Invitational in February, he shared a pretty interesting bit of news regarding the upcoming 2025 Ryder Cup.

During his press conference ahead of the Masters this week, Tiger Woods was asked whether or not he would be the captain of the U.S. Ryder Cup team in 2025 at Bethpage Black. And he certainly didn’t rule it out as a possibility.

“We’re still talking about it,” Woods told the New York Post.

Woods was asked to elaborate on what factors were involved with whether or not he would serve as the team’s captain, and he offered a few more details.

“It’s something that Seth [Waugh, CEO of the PGA of America] and I are going to sit back and talk about it after this event,’’ Woods said. “I said I’m going to be busy for a couple weeks, so let me focus on getting through this week and hopefully getting another jacket, and then we can sit back and talk about it next week.’’

Obviously, this would be some pretty significant news if Woods did decide to serve as the Ryder Cup captain. We’ll have to see what happens.
