On Sunday afternoon, Iowa Hawkeyes superstar Caitlin Clark officially ended her collegiate career when the Hawkeyes fell to the South Carolina Gamecocks in the NCAA Women’s Basketball title game. And as her storied career comes to a close, she sent a message about just how grateful she is.

On Sunday evening, Caitlin Clark took to social media to express her gratitude and and love to her teammates, coaches and the fans.

“Words cannot express my love for my teammates, coaches, fans and our university – Thanks for making my dreams come true. Wearing Iowa across my chest the last four years has been an honor. This place will always be home,” Clark said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Clark will now begin the next chapter of her basketball career as she is expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming WNBA Draft. But even as she heads into the professional ranks, it’s clear that she will hold a lot of fond memories of her time with the Iowa Hawkeyes.

And based on everything that she accomplished with the Hawkeyes throughout her career, she’ll also be remembered quite fondly.
