Former Miami Hurricanes running back Clinton Portis is fondly remembered by the fanbase as one of the best players to ever grace their green and orange jerseys. But soon we could see his son, Camdin Portis, following in his footsteps for the U.

Camdin Portis is quite the athlete in his own right, already receiving a number of offers from high-profile programs like Colorado and Boston College as a cornerback recruit.

On Thursday, Portis shared on social media that he has received his most meaningful offer to date, an offer from his father’s alma mater, the University of Miami.

The Hurricanes have produced some elite players in the secondary over the years. The likes of Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, and Antrel Rolle all thrived at the collegiate level, albeit under a different head coach of course.

One thing that may keep him away from Miami is that the team hasn’t exactly lived up to their high expectations in recent years.

Miami was of course a one-dominant program. But lately, that has not been the case whatsoever. In the last 20 years, the program has just one season where they have recorded double digits.

To put this into perspective, Miami did this for four straight seasons from 2001-2004.

Regardless, Portis getting to play for the same program where his father once dominated has to be an enticing possibility for him.
