It’s no real secret that the Washington Commanders are planning to select a quarterback in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, but it isn’t necessarily clear which quarterback the team has been planning to take. But LSU head coach Brian Kelly may have accidentally spoiled all the element of surprise for the team.

Following LSU’s pro day workout on Thursday, which featured star quarterback Jayden Daniels, Brian Kelly was asked a question about Daniels’ size and how he felt it would hold up in the NFL game. He answered the question, but at the end of his answer he seemed to accidentally reveal that the Washington Commanders were planning to draft

“[Daniesl] is going to be so committed to taking care of himself that you’re not going to have to worry about size or [if] he doesn’t weigh enough,” Kelly said according to CBS Sports. “Lamar [Jackson] has done a pretty good job with his size. [Patrick] Mahomes, I wouldn’t consider him a giant. Because [Daniels]is going to get the ball out to the players and make plays for Washington.”

Obviously, this little slip by Kelly led to a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see whether or not the Commanders ultimately end up selecting Jayden Daniels.
