Donald Trump, Joe Biden Donald Trump and Joe Biden debate at Belmont University, Thursday Oct. 22, 2020

Former United States President Donald Trump has been quick to boast about his talent on the golf course, but it sounds like Joe Biden would gladly challenge him. In fact, Biden claims he’s challenged Trump in the past.

During a Democratic fundraiser in New York City this week, Stephen Colbert – who was hosting the event – jokingly asked Joe Biden a question, mocking Donald Trump for claiming championships at his own golf courses.

“Donald Trump, as far as we can tell, has just been trying to win a third championship at his own golf course. My question to you, sir. Can voters trust a presidential candidate who has not won a single Trump International Golf Club trophy? At long last. Sir, have you no chip-shot?”

Biden responded by issuing a challenge to Trump, saying he would be “happy to play” against him in a round of golf. Biden said that he even offered to play golf with Trump when he was the vice president under Barack Obama. He claims he even offered Trump an advantage – on one hilarious condition.

“I told him once before when he came into the Oval [before Trump was sworn into office]. I said, ‘I’ll give you three strokes if you carry your own bag.’”

We’ll have to see whether or not Trump takes up this challenge. But it’s pretty clear he won’t be carrying his own bag.
