The Pittsburgh Steelers made a few high-profile moves this offseason, completely. revamping their quarterback position by parting ways with all three players who started games for them last season and bringing in Russell Wilson and Justin Fields. And it sounds like it’s all part of a pretty funny master plan from team owner Art Rooney II.

During a recent interview at the NFL’s annual league meetings this week, Art Rooney II said that the goal each offseason is simply to get better as quickly as you can possibly do it.

“Every year we try to figure out how we get better and how do we get better as quickly as possible,” Rooney said, via the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. “I think that’s the bottom line: try to get better as quickly as possible.”

And it sounds like Rooney thinks the team has accomplished that so far. Now it’s just time for the team to do that in the upcoming NFL Draft.

“I like where we are so far,” Rooney said. “The draft is the next priority. We have to do good with the draft.”

We’ll have to see who the Steelers add to the roster in the draft to help accomplish that goal.
