The Philadelphia Eagles already added former Pittsburgh Steelers starting quarterback Kenny Pickett to add depth behind starter Jalen Hurts, but it sounds like they’re bringing in another veteran quarterback in addition to Pickett.

According to a report from NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Philadelphia Eagles are bringing in veteran quarterback Will Grier to add some depth at the quarterback position.

“Eagles are signing former Cowboys and Patriots QB Will Grier to a one-year deal, per sources. In the past week, the Eagles now have added QBs Kenny Pickett and Greer,” Schefter said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Grier is obviously not expected to compete for the starting quarterback role this upcoming season as Hurts is the clear-cut franchise quarterback, but his signing still led to a lot of reactions ons social media.

Grier entered the league as a third-round pick by the Carolina Panthers back in 2019. In his five seasons in the league, he has not seen much action, starting two games for the Panthers in 2019. In those two games, he completed 28 of 52 passes for no touchdowns and four interceptions.

We’ll have to see how he does for the Eagles.
