With the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals have been linked to superstar Ohio State Buckeyes wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. Given that they could be the team to select Harrison in the draft, Cardinals General Manager Monti Ossenfort was asked his thoughts on the recent controversial decision from the star receiver.

Marvin Harrison Jr. decided not to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this month, and then he also decided to skip Ohio State’s pro day workout as he wants his game film to stand by itself. And while the Cardinals would have liked to see as much of Harrison as possible before the draft, Ossenfort downplayed the move from Harrison to skip the combine and pro day.

“I’m a big fan of the more good information we can have in the draft process, the better, but it’s not going to be the first time that a player doesn’t check off every box for the spring process, and it won’t be the last time,” Ossenfort said according to Pro Football Talk. “In Marvin’s case, it’s his decision and what he felt was best for him. We respect that and we’ll continue our evaluation process not only on him but every draft prospect and we’ll evaluate the best we can with the information we have.”

Harrison is widely expected to be the first receiver selected in the draft regardless of this decision.
