Former Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh has brought a number of his former assistant coaches along with him to the NFL in his departure to the Los Angeles Chargers. But could he bring any Michigan players along with him in the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft?

The Chargers are well served at the quarterback position with Justin Herbert at the helm, so it sure looks like top draft prospect J.J. McCarthy will be getting a new head coach next season away from Harbaugh.

Things look much different at the running back position. The team notably let Austin Ekeler walk in free agency, so they could very well be in the market for his replacement in the upcoming draft.

This seemingly makes it quite possible that Michigan star running back Blake Corum could hear his name called by the Chargers in the draft, a possibility that certainly seems to intrigue him.

“That would be crazy,” said Corum during an appearance on the Up & Adams Show of the Chargers possibly selecting him. “That would be crazy because we have been through a lot over the last four years and we ended on a big. If I picked up the phone and I heard his voice on the other side, just know we are going to go win a Super Bowl like we won a Natty.”

Corum’s confidence here speaks volumes. And if Harbaugh was listening to this interview from Corum, he will surely be considering the possibility of reuniting with his star running back at the NFL level.
