Over the past several years, Derrick Henry has emerged as one of the most dominant and consistent running backs in the entire league. And even after reaching his 30th birthday, it sounds like he’s confident he’s going to have that same dominance this year, joining a new team for the first time in his career.

Derrick Henry chose to sign with the Baltimore Ravens this week, leaving the Tennessee Titans after playing his entire career in Tennessee up to this point. And he had a pretty bold message to anyone who thinks that he’s going to slow down just because he’s a little older than he was before.

“Tell them to keep watching,” Henry said according to Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “People always going to have something to say — always going to have opinions. I’m just ready to work, ready to get things started and do my best to help this organization.”

Henry will be joining a backfield that already includes reigning NFL MVP quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is perhaps the most prolific running quarterback in the history of the game.

It will certainly be interesting to see how the team’s offense looks next season with those two in the backfield together.
