At 36 years old, Golden State Warriors superstar Steph Curry is quickly approaching the age where it is time to consider his plans after retiring from basketball. And it sounds like he already has a decent idea of what he would like to do.

During an interview on “CBS This Morning” on Tuesday, Steph Curry revealed that he would be interested in pursuing a political career whenever he ultimately decides to walk away from his basketball career, and he did not rule out the possibility of even running for president in the future.

“Maybe,” Curry told CBS News national correspondent Jericka Duncan according to the San Francisco Chronicle.

“I have an interest in leveraging every part of my influence for good in the way that I can so if that’s the way to do it,” Curry clarified. “I’m not going to say the presidency but if politics is a way that you can create meaningful change or if there’s another way outside of politics.”

Obviously, this is a pretty significant announcement from Curry, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

Curry could run as soon as 2028 if he wanted to, but it sounds like he thinks that would be a little early.

“Not that soon,” Curry said.
