Derrick Henry Syndication: The Tennessean

Superstar running back Derrick Henry has played his entire career with the Tennessee Titans after the team selected him in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. But it sounds like he will not be returning to the team next season.

Last week, it became clear that Derrick Henry was set to become a free agent, but there was still a possibility that he could re-sign with the Titans once he hit the open market. But apparently, that is no longer the case as the Titans have decided to go in a different direction.

“The Titans are expected to hop in on this second wave of running backs available, per sources. They are not in on Derrick Henry. They checked out the D’Andre Swift market but are holding off to muscle up on the offensive line and WR positions,” NFL insider Dianna Russini said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

If that wasn’t enough to confirm that Henry will not be back with the team next season, the Titans agreed to sign veteran running back Tony Pollard shortly after Russini’s report.

So that officially ends Henry’s legendary run with the Titans.
