Russell Wilson is looking for a new team after the Denver Broncos officially decided to part ways with the veteran quarterback earlier this week, and it sounds like a recent visit with the Pittsburgh Steelers went well.

According to a report from NFL insider Josina Anderson of CBS Sports, Russell Wilson “looked happy” after meeting with the Pittsburgh Steelers “for hours.” Now, we’ll have to see how he responds to meeting Mike Tomlin.

“Heard Russell Wilson had a great meeting in Pittsburgh so far. I was told he sat with #Steelers OC Arthur Smith ‘for hours’ and that ‘he looked happy.’ I was also told Wilson ‘did his homework’ reaching out to some players in advance, per source,” Anderson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

“Mike Tomlin moves like the ‘g’ in lasagna, so we’ll see how much carryover there is after RW retreats to his quarters,” Anderson continued.

Obviously, this is a pretty significant update on Wilson’s meeting with the Steelers, and it led to a lot of reactions on social media.

It certainly seems like the Steelers would be a good fit for Wilson if that’s where he chooses to go.
