During a recent speech, Donald Trump claimed that he earned more support from the Black community after his arrest because he was “discriminated against,” alleging that he has seen Black people wearing shirts with his mugshot on it. And NBA legend Charles Barkley was not at all happy about those comments.

During an episode of his CNN show King Charles this week, Charles Barkley expressed his outrage at the comments from Donald Trump and claimed that if he ever saw a Black person wearing a shirt with Trump’s mugshot, he would “punch him in the face.”

“If I was at that [conference], I would have gotten up and walked out,” Barkley said last week of Trump’s speech. “That was an insult to all Black people… It’s not a fair comparison. He’s a billionaire. He’s had a great life. He’s been President of the United States. To insult Black people who have been discriminated against all these years, to put them in the same category, I was just offended.”

During a more recent episode of the show, Barkley walked back the threat of violence against Black people wearing Trump’s mugshot, but reiterated his outrage at Trump and his supporters.

“Obviously, I’m not gonna go around punching random strangers in the face – first and foremost,” Barkley admitted. “Secondly, people can vote for who they want to. People can vote for who they want to. The point I was trying to make, no, the point I was making, I wasn’t trying to make it – when Donald Trump compares his plight with that of the Black person, that is what I had a problem with.

“Now, I do wanna say this. I want to make it perfectly clear,” Barkley continued. “If you’re a Black person and you wearing a Donald Trump mugshot, you are a freaking idiot. And I’m only saying ‘freaking idiot’ because they won’t let me say what I really wanna say. But you can figure it out. It starts with an F.”

Those are some pretty strong words from Barkley on the matter.
