The Buffalo Bills have one of the top quarterbacks in the entire NFL in Josh Allen, but it sounds like the team is considering a move to add a veteran player to add depth at the quarterback position behind him.
According to a report from Mike Garafolo of the NFL Network, the Buffalo Bills agreed to terms with Mitchell Trubisky to bring him on as a free agent quarterback.
“The #Bills have agreed to terms with QB Mitch Trubisky to return to Buffalo, sources say. @ByTimGraham reported they were in talks. Now a done deal. The #Steelers cut Trubisky early to give him a shot to find his next gig before free agency begins. He’s done just that.” Garafolo said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

This is a reunion for Trubisky and the Bills after he spent the 2021 season with the Bills, serving as Allen’s backup. Trubisky did not start a game during his time with the Bills, though he did appear in six throughout the season.
Trubisky was selected by the Chicago Bears as the No. 2 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was the team’s starter for three seasons, even earning Pro Bowl honors in 2018.
