Cincinnati Bengals superstar quarterback Joe Burrow suffered a season-ending wrist injury during a Week 10 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, but it sounds like his recovery is going right according to schedule.

During an interview with ESPN this week, Joe Burrow announced that he will be fully cleared to return to practice by the middle of May.

“I think middle of May is when I am expecting to kind of be cleared for full contact and everything,” Burrow told ESPN on Sunday. “Over the next month [to] month and a half, we’ll kind of decide all those things.”

That would obviously give Burrow plenty of time to get ready for the start of the 2024 NFL season with his teammates.

For now, he remains sidelined. But the good news is that he is now able to work out the way that he would like to.

“I can lift basically normally now, which I’m excited about,” Burrow said. “So the next two months, I’ll basically be just doing what I’ve done for the last couple of years. Just the 12 weeks of extra work in the rearview.”

Obviously, this announcement got fans excited.

We’ll have to see how Burrow looks once he returns to the field for the Bengals next season.
