This week, golf superstar Tiger Woods was making his first official PGA Tour start since the 2023 Masters when he took part in The Genesis Invitational this weekend. Unfortunately, the superstar caused quite a scare when he suddenly had to pull out of the tournament due to an illness, but it sounds like he’s doing alright.

Tiger Woods withdrew from The Genesis Invitational on Friday due to an illness, and when an ambulance showed up at the golf club, it led to a lot of scares and speculations about the golfer’s health. But in a statement after the event, Woods calmed some concerns by expressing that he is “feeling better.”

“I would like to confirm that I had to withdraw from @thegenesisinv due to illness, which we now know is influenza. I am resting and feeling better. Good luck to the players this weekend. I’m disappointed to not be there and want to thank @GenesisUSA and all the fans for the support,” Woods said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

We’ll have to see how soon Woods is able to return to the course after having to pull out of this week’s tournament.
