For more than two decades, LeBron James has been the most dominant and most prominent player in the entire league as he made his case as the greatest player of all time, but it sounds like that chapter could be coming to an end.

During a recent press conference, LeBron James revealed that he has started considering retirement, saying that while he doesn’t know exactly how many seasons he will play after this, he knows “it’s not that many.”

“I have not mapped out how many seasons I have left. I know it’s not that many,” James said according to USA Today Sports.

James made it pretty clear that he would like to retire as a Laker, but he left the door open for the possibility that he could end his career elsewhere. But wherever he is playing, James understands that the end of his career is fast approaching.

“I am a Laker, and I am happy and been very happy being a Laker the last six years, and hopefully it stays that way,” James said. “But I don’t have the answer to how long it is or which uniform I’ll be in. Hopefully, it is with the Lakers. It’s a great organization and so many greats. But we’ll see.

“I don’t know how it’s going to end, but it’s coming. It’s coming, for sure.”

Obviously, this is a pretty significant bit of news regarding James’ future, and people had a lot to say about it on social media.

We’ll have to see when James ultimately decides to walk away from the game.
