Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady certainly made his impact felt on the field, winning seven Super Bowl rings during his playing days, but it sounds like he also made a much more personal impact on some of his teammates.

Pro Bowl center Ryan Jensen and former teammate Garrett Gilkey appeared on the latest episode of the Short and to the Point podcast with host Jessica Kleinschmidt where Jensen sent a pretty clear message to Brady about what the legendary quarterback taught him on and off the field during their time together with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

“You know, I learned so much from Tom from like a leadership standpoint of things, his striving for excellence and perfection,” Jensen said. “You know, nothing’s ever gonna be perfect, but striving for perfection is something that he always, always talked about and pushed for and he’s always had a way of motivating guys, to get the best out of them.

“And that’s something, my two years that I was able to play with him, two full years, it was something that really impacted me, on the football field, but also off of it.”

Everybody is able to see what Brady contributed to the team on the field during his playing days, but it’s cool to hear about what he contributed in the locker room as well.
