Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has been a vocal critic of the College Football Playoff Committee.

The committee on Sunday created headlines throughout the country when it selected the one-loss Alabama Crimson Tide over the undefeated Florida State Seminoles for the final spot in this year’s playoffs.

DeSantis recently requested an earmark of $1 million from the Florida Legislature to sue the College Football Playoff Committee.

“What we learned today is that you can go undefeated and win your conference championship game, but the College Football Playoff committee will ignore these results,” DeSantis wrote on X on the day of the committee’s decision. “Congratulations to @FSUFootball on an outstanding season and winning the ACC championship!”

One person, however, wondered if the decision was payback from Disney, the parent company of ESPN, in an ongoing feud with the Florida governor.
