If the Alabama Crimson Tide pulled off the upset over the Alabama Crimson Tide on Saturday, there’s a chance that it could leave the SEC on the outside looking in on the College Football Playoff without representation from any team. But Nick Saban doesn’t seem to think that should happen.

During a press conference this week, Nick Saban made it clear that he thinks it would “be a disrespect to the SEC if there isn’t an SEC representation in the [CFP].”

Saban made it clear that he thinks Georgia is one of the best four teams in the country, and if Alabama beats Georgia, that would make Alabama one of the four best teams in the country, too.

“I think the SEC is one of the best conferences in the country,” Saban said. “I think Georgia is one of the best teams in the country. I think they’re one of the best four teams in the country. I think if we beat them, we’d be one of the best four teams in the country.”

Ultimately, if Alabama beats Georgia on Saturday, it would put a lot of pressure on the College Football Playoff committee to make a decision in that regard.
