Dave Portnoy at Dragon Pizza Credit: Dragon Pizza

Barstool’s Dave Portnoy was not a big fan of Dragon Pizza in Somerville, Massachusetts. He gave them a 6.4 rating out of 10 in a recent review that also featured a shouting match with the shop owner.

However, the pizza place’s supporters seem to be lining up to give them much higher scores.

The video of the review and ensuing fight garnered 16.3 million views on X, the site formerly known as Twitter, and that seems to have propelled a lot of people to check out the pizza place.

Dragon Pizza posted on Instagram that it had to close its doors early on Tuesday after completely selling out all of its pizza.

“We are completely sold out and need a day to prepare for the rest of the week,” Dragon Pizza wrote. “Thank you to our amazing staff and supporters. Couldn’t do it without y’all.”

Another Instagram post showed an employee with a sign that read “sold out.”

“Another Day! SOLD OUT,” Dragon Pizza wrote. “Thank you so much keep supporting us! Sorry for those guests show up today and have to wait too long team did there best to make everyone happy!”

The pizza place has also seen a large increase in good reviews thanks to the incident.
