The United States Women’s National Team suffered quite a disappointing loss on Sunday when they fell to Sweden in a penalty kick shootout which eliminated them from the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup. And following the loss, former United States President Donald Trump wasted no time in blasting them on social media.

On Sunday afternoon, Donald Trump shared an absolutely brutal message about the team on Truth Social, the social network he helped create when he was banned from Twitter and Facebook in 2020.

“The ‘shocking and totally unexpected’ loss by the U.S. Women’s Soccer Team to Sweden is fully emblematic of what is happening to the our once great Nation under Crooked Joe Biden. Many of our players were openly hostile to America – No other country behaved in such a manner, or even close. WOKE EQUALS FAILURE. Nice shot Megan, the USA is going to Hell!!! MAGA,” Trump said in his post, which has not been altered to correct his grammatical mistakes.

It was a pretty clear message from Trump, and it led to plenty of reactions on social media.

It’s clear that Trump was not a fan of what he saw from the United States Women’s National Team this tournament – or more likely, he’s pandering to his voters.
