Trae Young is still far from a finished product who’s long-range shooting ability hasn’t yet translated to the NBA level. His passing, however? It’s incredible.

Check out this pass from the 20-year-old Atlanta Hawks point guard. Young gets double-teamed at the top of the three-point arc and managed to throw a crazy nice pass to Omari Spellman for a wide-open three with his off hand.

Young finished with 15 assists on the night, along with 24 points and six rebounds as the young Hawks beat the Miami Heat 123-118.

Despite averaging nearly four turnovers per game, Young’s passing is incredibly special, even as a rookie. His court vision is already above average and the more comfortable he becomes as a pro, the better he’ll get.

It was easy to criticize the Hawks for trading back and picking Young over Dallas Mavericks star rookie Luka Doncic, but Young is proving Atlanta might have made the right move.
