On Wednesday, Andrew McCutchen unveiled a brand new Cutch to the world.
The hype began to stir earlier in the day, when McCutchen teased fans that he had some big news in store.
I've had a secret that's been weighing me down for a while… I'll let you in on it at noon today http://t.co/r1lNRVchVH #NotAnAd

Hours later, McCutchen proved that he wasn’t selling the hype short.

If you don’t follow Pirates games, rest assured that this is a dramatic decision.
As for the reason behind the haircut, McCutchen only states that it was time for a change.
McCutchen’s old locks will be auctioned off and the proceeds will go to Pirates charities so this is a good thing, even as McCutchen’s old look will be missed by many.
