The NBA rulebook states that in order to catch and shoot a basketball, 0.3 seconds must be on the shot clock or game clock. Well, Friday night in Oklahoma City, the Utah Jazz only had 0.2 seconds left on a 24-second count — a fact Trevor Booker was acutely aware of. As such, Booker’s only option was to tip the ball in. And tip it in he did, from about 15 feet out. Not only did it go in, but he did it Granny-style and with his back to the basket. The Utah Jazz ended up losing the game — after leading for about 45 minutes of it — but Booker will always have this totally absurd, once-in-a-lifetime shot.
