The Boston Celtics are having a rough night against the Washington Wizards. At the time of this post, the Wiz were up 26 16 points heading into the fourth quarter. Regardless of the outcome, Jeff Green can lay claim to “Shot of the Night” with this casual heave from deep in his own back court. Unfortunately, time had already expired, so it didn’t count. Considering the Celtics were already down 13 — a margin that only increased in the third quarter — it probably wouldn’t have made much of a difference anyway.
Update: Shocking twist of events as the Wizards have forgotten how to play basketball and the game is going to come down to the wire. So, maybe it would have been helpful if that shot had counted.
