We already knew P.K. Subban was one of the most elite defensemen in hockey, but the former Norris Trophy winner also happens to be one of the most elite NHL costume-wearers in the NHL as well. The 25-year old Canadiens defenseman has already won the NHL’s Halloween costume contest this year with the amazing Michael Jackson ‘Thriller’ getup you see above.

Subban’s zombified MJ passes with flying colors in all aspects usually required for a great Halloween costume – execution, authenticity, attention to detail, creepiness, etc. – and there’s pretty much no chance anyone in the league tops this in the coming week.

As is the case with many victories in sports, he didn’t do it alone. Subban owes a lot of credit to makeup artist Liza-Marie Charron, who was able to create the killer Thriller that night.
