It is hard to think of the Super Bowl as anti-climactic, but Peyton’s Super Bowl win was definitely not as dramatic as the AFC Championship Game. Facing the New England Patriots, Manning’s Colts found themselves down 21-3 after a Manning Pick-6 by Asante Samuel. However, a dramatic 32 point second half spurred an Indianapolis comeback and Manning would finally vanquish the Patriots, with the eighteen point deficit being the largest ever to be overcome in a conference championship game. Oh yeah, he’d win a Lombardi that year as well.
