New York Giants cornerback Prince Amukamara is having a fantastic season so far. In four games, Amukamara already has 25 tackles, two interceptions and seven passes defended. It has some labeling Prince as a breakout star on the Giants defense and safety Antrel Rolle had his own theory as to why Amukamara is playing so well.
Amukamara is a devout Christian who got married over the offseason. Rolle simply connected the dots:
“There are a lot of things different about Prince,” said Rolle while speaking with NJ.com. “For one, he’s married, so he’s (enjoying some things that he wasn’t experiencing before he’s married). For a man, that could definitely help him out. For a man … I’m just being honest … it’s helping him out. He walks around with a little more swagger, which is something that we need, which is something that we love.”
Even better, Amukamara later acknowledged and confirmed Rolle’s quote with reporters.
