John Kuhn had the distinction of scoring the first touchdown of the 2014 NFL season. And while he remains a Green Bay fan favorite and reliable goal-line option, it’s hard to blame oddsmakers for making Kuhn a long shot to score the inaugural touchdown of the year. After all, this is a game which had Marshawn Lynch, Eddie Lacy, Percy Harvin, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson in it.
Nonetheless, sports betting site Sportsbook.com took to Twitter to acknowledge that they suffered a “pretty big loss” as a result of Kuhn’s score.
The site had opened the betting line on Kuhn scoring the first TD at 70:1 before closing it at 20:1. Ouch.
#JohnKuhn opened 70/1 to score 1st TD & we took a pretty big loss on that future as result

We’re sure that Sportsbook.com will be fine. The NFL season gives people way too many opportunities to make bad bets for this to be a backbreaking loss.
