Well, after months of deliberation, appeals, and no decisions, the NFL has upheld Josh Gordon’s suspension. He will miss the entire season. RIP Browns season.

Here is Gordon’s statement on the matter:

I’d like to apologize to my teammates, coaches, the Cleveland Browns organization and our fans. I am very disappointed that the NFL and its hearing office didn’t exercise better discretion and judgment in my case. I would like to sincerely thank the people who have been incredibly supportive of me during this challenging time, including my family, my agent, my union, my legal team, and the Cleveland Browns staff.”

Maybe even bigger news? Ian Rapoport broke the story seconds before Adam Schefter! Take a look:

So close! (We still love you, Schefter.) Perhaps an issue even bigger than Schefter losing a scoop, is the fact that it took so damn long for a decision to be reached. Now, the Browns are pretty much screwed.

Oh, and I guess there’s one other really tiny issue with this news….

Fuck that.
