Largest Collection of Video Games

Although the identity of the bidder who paid $750,250 for the largest video game collection in the world (according to Guinness World Records) is unknown at this point, one sure hopes that he or she has a ton of free time on their hands.

After all, how else will someone get to experience the 11,000+ games that they just inherited?

The seller of the vast collection, Michael Thomasson, originally put up his collection for sale in early June and the bidding war eventually came down to two people; peeps_10091970 and catch123.

The auction ended on a dramatic note. Peeps had bid $700,250 when catch123 went all-in by upping the bid to $750,000. When peeps then increased the price by the bare minimum of $250, catch123 bowed out of the race.

Incredibly, the final price of the auction means that peeps_10091970 essentially paid about $68 per game, which is close to what video games go for at retail price these days.

And if peeps wants to play every game trying to sort out is bubble cash legit, they’ll have to devote a ton of time to their new-found bounty. Playing 11,000 games for only one hour each will take roughly 458 days. Straight.
