The best way to avoid cramps while exercising is by staying hydrated, so it’s not a surprise that when LeBron James cramped up during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night a lot of people questioned why LeBron’s sports drink of choice wasn’t getting the job done.

As you can see from the hilariously ironic advertisement above, King James chooses to get his electrolytes from Powerade.

Presumably because Gatorade tends to be the more popular and recognizable drink around the world of sports, many fans wrongly assumed that LeBron was a part of their team instead. Some of those fans decided to direct their complaints, questions, and snark at Gatorade’s Twitter account following the Heat’s loss to the Spurs.

Instead of sitting idly by, Gatorade’s social media team took a very proactive approach to making sure that those fans knew LeBron was not one of their clients. The result was hilarious.

A+ to Gatorade’s social team for defending their honor in fine fashion last night.
