Swedish goaltender Henrik Lundqvist posted a shutout against Switzerland on Friday in Sochi, recording 24 saves to help his team improve to 2-0 so far in Olympic play. One of those saves came without the use of limbs, as Hank managed to make a header save on a shot in the first period. It looked strange and it’s certainly not what they teach you in goaltender school but, hey, it counted the same.
The unorthodox stop was not his best, however, as that honor goes to this pad save he made early in the game:
