Damian Lillard’s hesitating, spinning, (near) buzzer-beating fadeaway sunk the Pistons in Detroit and gave Portland their 21th win of 25 to start the season for the surprising Blazers. Dame has been struggling a bit of late, but is obviously one of the great young talents in the game today and he reminded why he deserves to be in that conversation. It did take him 21 shots to get his 23 tonight, and he went 0fer 7 from the 3, but that one shot is the one that we’ll remember.
Almost equally entertaining was Sideshow Rob Lopez taking on Hooper, the Pistons mascot.
