In September we told you about the auction that was selling off the autographed sneakers that Michael Jordan wore during his infamous “Flu Game” in Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals and you probably were too lazy to place a bid or didn’t have a small fortune to spend on sneakers.

Preston Truman, an 18-year-old Delta Center ballboy who worked the legendary NBA game and was given the sneakers by his Airness. Truman was once offered $11,000 for the iconic kicks which he declined and that seems to have been a very, very good decision because they were sold at auction for $104,765 on Thursday. That’s like having a 16-year-old lottery ticket and cashing it in. One stinky, sweaty lottery ticket.
