It’s always refreshing to hear stories about people finding creative and unique ways to overcome their disabilities and continue doing the things they love, especially when it involves sports.

That’s why this story about an all visually impaired hockey team in Vancouver, Canada is worth a watch. They call themselves the Vancouver Eclipse and each member of the team is either blind or somewhat visually impaired, but that hasn’t stopped them from lacing ’em up and competing on the ice.

To combat their impaired eyesight, the Eclipse play with an oversized puck with a ball bearing inside that makes quite a bit of noise while in motion. And while these guys look to be quite happy that they’re out there competing, they also envision bigger things for the sport of blind hockey in the future – possibly the Paralympic Games.

Hard not to root for guys with as much conviction and passion for the sport as these guys have.
